Who we are
This website is a collaboration for between the SWITCH-Asia Network Facility and the SwitchMed Networking Facility.
The “SWITCH-Asia Network Facility” project is financed by the European Commission and implemented by a consortium led by the GFA Consulting Group GmbH, Hamburg, in partnership with the Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production, CSCP, gGmbH (not for profit). Our registered address is Hagenauer Strasse 30, 42107 Wuppertal, Germany.
The “SwitchMed Networking Facility” is part of the SwitchMed project financed by the European Commission and implemented by a consortium of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), United Nations Environment Programme Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP/MAP), Regional Activity Centre for Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP/RAC), and the UNEP’s Division of Technology, Industry and Economics (UNEP/DTIE). How we collect information
We may collect and process the following information about your project and professional activities in the following ways:
Information you give us
You may give us information about yourself and your project by filling in forms on our website www.switch-asia.eu or by corresponding with us by phone, email or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you register to use our site, subscribe to our services, including the SWITCH-Asia Bazaar and newsletter, search for information, download materials from our portal, use social media functions, enter a competition or survey operated by us. The information you give us may include your name, address, email address and phone number and sometimes personal description and photograph. We will not ask you for any private information about you, your family or friends that is unrelated to your work with the SWITCH-Asia Programme.
Information we collect about you
Information we receive from other sources
We may receive information about you if you use other services we provide. We also work closely with third parties including, for example, project implementation partners and their associates, website developers, policy networks, analytics providers, search information providers and may receive information about you from them.
Storage of information
Your information will be protected in our web server and we will keep our own backup copy. We may also store your information on paper at our offices. We will keep your information secure by taking appropriate technical and organisational measures against its unauthorised or unlawful processing and against its accidental loss, destruction or damage. You have a statutory right to see a copy of the information we hold about you on payment of a fee, which is currently €10.
What we use your information for
We will use your information to provide you with any further details or information you request when you contact us. If we provide information services we will use your information to correctly forward the information we send.
With whom we may share your data
We may share your information with selected third parties including: · Implementation partners, the EU Commission and the EU Delegations as well as service providers to the Network Facility for the performance of any contract we entered with the parties; · Analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our site. We will disclose your information in order to comply with any legal obligation or in order to enforce or apply our website terms and conditions or to protect the rights, property or security of others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purpose of fraud protection. From time to time we may work with external partners to undertake evaluating activities of the SWITCH-Asia Programme. In these instances we will only share your information with these partners where at the time of data capture you have given us permission to share your information with them.
You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for purposes other than stated above.
Opting-out of newsletters
You will periodically receive our newsletters via emails only if you have given your consent using our online form. If you no longer wish to receive newsletters from the Network Facility you can unsubscribe by clicking on the relevant link in the email or alternatively you can contact the Network Facility team via email at firstname.lastname@example.org .
